I drink wine every night with my antidepressants. Never had an issue. Up to you. But with any anxiety med I would use caution.

Mixing anxiety medication and alcohol can lead to suppressed breathing and if it’s bad enough anoxic brain injury... so I’d avoid mixing alcohol and Xanax. Not sure about antidepressants

@tacos4lyfe, vistaril is not a benzo, it’s an antihistamine. However, tramadol is a benzo

@tacos4lyfe, it’s a sedative it says don’t use with excessive amounts of alcohol as it can increase drowsiness 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️ which I don’t plan on going no where I just don’t want it to kill me. I like having a small 4 oz glass of wine on fridays to unwind

I doubt one glass of wine and one dose of the Rx would be fatal BUT could have bad side effects and I just wouldn’t risk it. No doctor would advise it

That’s not a benzo but I don’t know anything about it. I recommend doing some internet research about combining it with alcohol though

No. I use to take anxiety meds and drank some wine once and man o Man. Wasn’t good. I also knew someone else on antidepressants and they drank a glass of wine and their heart started acting up thought she was dying
