Hey mommies when did your little ones begin to speak? My almost 17 month old still has 0 words other than mama and papa. We are considering getting him evaluated next month by help me grow.
I started really noticing and wondering when he was about that age, but it's taken this long to get in.
It isn’t hard to begin speech therapy where I live it’s just a matter of getting evaluated and see if he is truly delayed. I just here different things from different people and they say he still little and others that they started early with speech delay
My son is 2 1/2 and hardly says any words at all. We are FINALLY starting speech therapy twice a week. I'm so excited for him. They do a lot of "play" but with a point behind the game. He likes it there a lot. He really only says... bye, wow, yeah.. there is a very small handful of words and the rest is babble and acting out to show what he wants
That’s great! Was it your choice to start therapy later than sooner? That’s what my son basically does is act out since he can’t communicate with us. I don’t see any progression with his speech and that’s why sometimes I worry. He also got ear tubes at 1 because of chronic ear infections so the doctor told us that can cause delay in speech
My son was saying multiple words before he turned one including mama, dada, cat, dog, duck. He was speaking in 5 word sentences right when he turned two. Every child progresses differently of course but if you're concerned then absolutely request an evaluation.
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

We finally did it after 10 months!!!!

He’s still very young. A lot of babies don’t talk until age 2. My daughter started talking really early and was speaking in 2-3 word sentences by time she was 2 but her cousin (boy) wasn’t speaking at all until after he turned 2.
