Since moving in with my MIL I feel like I have absolutely no say over my son. If she wants something done a different way then it has to get done that way. But I feel like I can't say anything because she's paying the roof over our heads and the food in our bellies at the moment. IDK what to do but this not having say over MY kid is really starting to get to me.

Just tell her you appreciate everything she’s helping with however it’s your child and you would like her to respect your wishes

@ashtonndamon, yea what’s wrong with that... You work 24/7 when you have a kid so getting a bit more of sleep is important if you ask me. We live with my mom at the moment and she does the same crap. Not as bad but deff tries to parent my child when she knows I want something different done. I deff feel like I can’t speak up b/e of all the wonderful things she does do. But I feel you. Shes incredibly defensive too and will just go behind my back and do what she wants anyway. Sucks

it does. And she does it with everything. Like I wanted to stop bottles during the day and just when he goes to sleep and when I told her she said that we have to do the exact opposite. Grrr

I’m so sorry.. I totally feel you. I’d just go behind her back and do what I wanted
