Pretty happy with the hospital I chose to have my baby in this time. They encourage skin-to-skin and breastfeeding immediately after birth, baby never leaves your room the whole time, and they have a big bathtub where you can labor if you want, instead of being stuck in bed with an I.V. The hospital I had my other boys in was horrible. They took my babies for hours at a time and supplemented with formula without even asking me.

Did you have a birth plan?? If it's written in your birth plan, they can't give your baby formula without your permission.
Yes and there was also a sign on his bed that stated he was exclusively breastfed and not to give formula or pacifiers. The nurses there treated me like I was being completely ridiculous. They were also disorganized and drew my blood by accident instead of another patient's. I asked why they needed my blood and she rolled her eyes and said it was routine. Then another nurse came in after she was done freaking out on her and saying she had mistaken me for the other patient.
That's how mine was! Loved it
