Hey moms ,
Do you let your newborn sleep on their stomach ??
No but u can sleep him elevated on a pillow if he’s real colicky it could help.
I let him sleep on his stomach on my chest, co sleeping (obviously) for the 1st 3 months. Then he slept on his stomach in between my husband and I without pillows or blankets.
They say you shouldn’t, but he was 24/7, 100% supervised at all times, and it was the only way he would sleep
I did the same. He slept better and longer while on his stomach as opposed to on his back.. And til this day my son prefers to sleep on his stomach.
@chasha2017, yep, when I went in to check on Salem he was still on his stomach. And I put him down on his back in his bed. I always wake up to him on his stomach and he’s about as old as your son 🤷🏻♀️
Babies should NEVER sleep on their stomach until they can roll back and forth on their own and hold their heads up good
Once they rolled on their stomach on their own and had good head control then I didn't roll them back
I only let mine stomach sleep after 1m supervised. He mostly did side sleeping though
No.. the doctors suggest there back to prevent SIDS.. they say don’t co-sleep with your child but I do.
No unless they are very colicky. I’ve never had to deal with that personally. Otherwise, back is best!🖤
Here’s what’s crazy... I have 3 kids and the two older ones were not allowed to sleep on their backs when they were babies. (They are 17 & 14) Now they can’t sleep on their stomachs. Everything always changes. I recommend following the current guidelines. No matter what you’ll always supervise and always wake up 100 times through the night to check on them.
If it don’t feel right tho, don’t do it.
