Anyone by whole milk? We only get whole milk because of WIC but always the milk ends up tasting weird before the expiration date. Not excatly bad but just weird. Is that normal?

I buy whole milk for my daughter. I also drink it, i like the taste of the Horizon Organics brand. I have not ran into any issues with it. I usually look at the date prior to picking one and get the one that expires the furthest 😅 We can only find the gallon one @ Safeway.
See I try to look for the furthest date away as well but my youngest is the only one who drinks it and he doesn't drink it fast enough because he still breastfeeds so it was two days away from the expiration date. It tasted normal at first but then right before you swallow it it has a sourish taste. Like its about to go bad but not there yet lol. The 1% is actually one day away before expiring and it still tastes normal. I bought them at the same time and they are the same brand. Its just always the whole milk that does it.
I was buying from Aldi's and it was actually expiring a week before. 😷
My husband worked at Guidas Milk company and ever since he left , all milks at different stores that they supply is disgusting. We switched over to Garelick and hood suppliers for milk.
Yes. The better brands here do not but seems like the cheaper ones always do.
Over here a big name company like Guidas makes the milk and sells it to companies like Aldi's, Wal-Mart etc and they just use their labels. So basically it's all the same milk just different labels and ppl swear the expensive ones taste better. 😂
@jaygirlsmommy, I’m well aware. I actually work for the state that regulates them. Lol But like I said some “Home made” brands where I live are in fact better.
