I am terrified of having a csection and even more terrified of the recovery with an active 2 year old...I wish my support system was stronger... there’s only so much my husband can help with

I had the same issue but I only have my baby girl and our dog. I couldn't imagining having a 2 year old, a newborn and having a C-section. I couldn't even handle my newborn when I first came home. It was hard but my boyfriend works overnights. He tried getting two weeks off whenever she was born (October 6th, 2018) and his work gave him the two weeks off on October 18th until November 1st. I was already healed by then but it helped me a lot so I could get some sleep.

Do you have the finances to hire some help? Maybe when husband has to go back to work, you two could figure out a plan? Hopefully he can take at least two weeks off though. Or could you look at day care options outside the home for her? Again, it’s a cost, but worth your safe recovery if you don’t have a support system and husband can’t take the time off.

Is there a reason you need one? Sorry do not know your backstory. I have had two and they aren't really that bad, you just have to take it slow after and keep up with your meds they give you. My vaginal birth recovery was actually harder than my csection recovery. Maybe plan some activities now for the 2yo and buy some easy meals to make so it's not so hard on you.

My baby has been breeched my whole pregnancy I’m type 2 diabetic and he is already 8 1/2 lbs. so the doctor wants to do a c section... my vaginal recovery wasn’t hard at all.. honestly I didn’t even hurt down there when everything was done... but people don’t believe me... my tolerance for pain is a little high but Ive never had a surgery before

@zay_is_mylove I had a big cyst rupture while giving birth so that's why my recovery for vaginal was so bad, I had no pain down there either. If you have a high pain tolerance I think you will be ok! But do not neglect the pain meds! My husband left as soon as we got home for two weeks after my csection and had to take care of three kids alone so I totally understand!
