for now I think supplementing with formula and giving the breast is your best option if your diet does not help
from 1 month and 6 months, your baby will take an average of 3 to 3 1/2 ounces every three hours
ok 2 months very early i would rather start at 3 first up your intake on iron make sure you eat a lot of beetroot meat and spinach you might have a slow flow of milk try pumping to see how much milk you are producing if you are not producing much get the doctor to prescribe you espiride and mention to your doctor your baby is feeding too long
get back to me on how much milk you are pumping and let me know see how much comes out in a 5 min pump my flow is very fast my 6 month old don’t drink longer then 5 minutes. my godmother had the same problem as you but when her boy was only 3 months she could start the rice cereal so I suggest waiting another month you can supplement with formula also if eating better does not seem to help I will send you a link first try the iron an check your babies weight and look on the internet to see what is the normal weight for your baby at his/her age. and also make sure you eating enough iron rich food to insure baby gets enough iron. If he is not gaining weight go see your pediatrician
beetroot, spinach and meat is good iron or get a supplement that is right for lactating moms
how old is your baby he/she might be ready for rice cereal of baby not getting full from your milk
if baby is 3 months some pediatricians recommend giving very thin cereal mixed with breast milk
