Potty Training *Updated* Why is there such a push to do it so early?
This week I’m going to start the potty training journey. I just pulled out her potty chair and she was so excited. I would love to hear any tips you have!!!

Here's her bio and general tips: Hello I am Ceiamaria I am a stay at home Mother to 4 children ages 12,8,7 and 11 months old. I am happily married for 12 years and we are still going strong. I am determined and driven for success FAILURE isn't an option for me. I potty trained my oldest at 9 months old. My 2 middle son's were more difficult they were between 18 months and 2 years old. My baby boy was showing interest in potty training, I decided to buy him a potty chair. Potty training tips 1.) Don't rush your child 2.)Don't yell at your child 3.) Don't punish your child for having accidents 4.) Don't give you child candy 5.) Don't compare other children to your child 6.) Do praise your child 7.) Clap your hands when your child goes to the potty. 8.)Take your child every 15-30 minutes to the potty 9.)Don't criticize your child 10.) I don't recommend pull ups but I don't bash mothers who decided to use them. 11.) Remember potty training is not taught in one day you have to be determined to potty train your child. Early potty training (correction: early elimination): how many of you tried and how successful was it? Every time I try, it’s too late, the baby already peed or pooped and I cannot read her facial expressions to tell that she is due in advance 🤷 ♀
Heyy ladies I have a question my daughter is 24 months old and googled signs that she is ready to potty train she takes off diaper and puts toilet paper around her arm ect... so yesterday we decided to go ahead and buy her pull-ups and I have a little potty toilet that my mom got her for Christmas but the only thing is that today that I went to restroom and she followed me as she usually does well I tried to sit her on her toilet she didn’t like it so how do I start because she is 100% ready but doesn’t want to sit and plus she doesn’t know what to do she just thinks a chair here is the picture to know when child is ready she does all these that are on picture please help thank you 😊

Try getting her a toddler potty. You can offer both and let her pick. There’s no rush to use the toilet, she’s very young and will eventually get the hang of it. If you pressure her too much she will resist.

No no lol I will have go to daycare at 18 months in January . It’s not a requirement until preschool as well but if the child is toilet training they have toilets for them

I give my daughter books to keep her occupied . I have her sit on the little potty too but soon I’ll use the seat to prepare her for daycare in two months where they use toilets

The daycare makes 1 year olds use toilets? 😳 At my daughter’s school they don’t start toilet training until 2 years old but only if the child is showing readiness. It’s not required to be potty trained until they’re 3.
