Recently had our baby show at my husband's aunt house because she is an event planner. Everyone had fun, but my mother ,who I am not close to, decide to record everything with her apple tablet. Like she was the camerawoman the entire time. Never took one picture from when she walked in the door until she recorded herself leaving. I need older parents 50+ to stop using social media irresponsibly. My life is not a show and I know his aunt didn't want her house on full display because I wouldn't. Am I being too forward?

Dude it’s not just your mom, it’s the crazy 50’s, they use their smartphones like there’s no tomorrow. If it was my mom i would’ve just tell her to stop recording. I personally want to punch them in the eye when someone is recording me.

I had reckless driving today and this lady in her late 40's said her distraction is her phone because of her social media. She has snapchat, fb, Instagram and I turned around and looked at her like you said you have your kids in the car, but you are also on your phone? What!

I would've asked her to stop recording out of respect for everyone else. Pictures are one thing but I couldn't handle being recorded

@owenjacesmama3 see I would have told her to leave, but she came with my brother bacause she lives about 2 hours away. Even his aunt asked if she could get the pictures when she thought she was taking pictures, but she told her she was recording everything...her face wasn't too friendly but she kept being positive about it.
