Which is best/safest?? I heard crib bumpers can be considered dangerous so I’m curious about the braided one.

Neither are safe but you can tie around the outside for decoration

Crib bumpers aren't safe. The mesh ones aren't considered safe anymore either. A fitted sheet is the only thing that should be in the crib 😊

They can get tangled up in crib bumpers or suffocate themselves. I never used one and my son was always fine :) he might bump up against the crib on occasion but never anything hard
