Last night my husband fed our baby for the first time! He gave him 1oz of formula mixed with 3oz of breast milk...my little guy slept from 930-330 then 4a-9a...is it because of that one ounce of formula??

It could be a coincidence because a lot of moms struggle with their exclusively formula fed babies sleeping.

My almost one month she’ll be one month on Monday drinks that normally. I’ll give her 3 oz maybe 3 1/2 of breastmilk then between 1-2 oz of formula but she never sleeps for seven hours. At most maybe 3 1/2!! I know formula definitely fills up their bellies more but I would talk to his doctor that seems like a lot of sleep for a one month.

Lol my first would sleep for 10 hrs straight at 3 weeks old so I’m not concerned that he is sleeping for a long period he made up for it this morning and ate for ever at the boob 😂

I’d say probably not. All my kids have been primarily formula fed. My first was a terrible sleeper. Only slept for 2 hours at a time until about 10 months. One of my twins is up every 3 hours like clockwork. The other will sleep for a 6 hour stretch.

I saw in my notifications that you commented but I can’t see it lol. That’s crazy!! Never mind my talking to his doctor comment then lol. I wonder what makes them so sleepy?? I wish my baby slept longer sometimes lol

This is a new thing and I get confused 😂 but yeah my first was an amazing sleeper!!! This one through me through a loop by getting up every 1-2 hours...then after two weeks it was 2-3 hrs and randomly jumping to every 6 hrs! But when babies sleep through the night I know they make up for it the next day!! So I might have to change things to where he gets bottles before bed and when he wakes up in the morning because it takes him so long to eat like over an hour and that’s not fair to my toddler lol
