Child birth is something serious, I didn't expect anything less - but I do have 1 complaint from yesterday...the epidural insertion. Oh, my, goodness, one of the scariest moments I've experienced. The most painful and awkward feeling ever. The first insertion failed. I could feel the needle going back and forth against my bones, in the middle of several contractions - the spot the anesthesiologist picked didn't take...and he kept trying to get it right...he then took it out and tried again in a second spot, that one worked. It took a while for him to come in general after requested. The complete the process was long as I had to be completely still with super strong pitocin contractions, and he was witty! Like who wants witty during a time like that! Anyways, glad I made it through, and praying against future back pain issues as a result - just didn't feel natural or routine at all.

I hope you're feeling better soon mama! I also hope you get lucky like me! I had s c section so it was a spinal not epidural but the same concept and they had to try it 5 times. Not going to lie my back was sore for 3 months depending how i moved but i have zero pain now 😊

Congratulations! The epidural was traumatizing for me as well. I definitely understand why some women opt out!

It's crazy because last time it was a smooth quick process.

I didnt feel the needle really, however I had strong pitocin contractions too lol. However I still have pain till this day. I had really bad pain a few weeks post party, then soreness for a year, finally went away and I'm feeling it again now
