I know babies typically lose weight after they are born. Curious, how much did your babies lose??

10% of their body weight

Mine weighted 8 lbs 8 oz at birth and at his 4 day check up was at 7 lbs 15 oz. —- so 9oz. Doctor said it was still within range and since his stool and urine output is fine, there is no concern. My daughter on the other hand lost more, I don’t have the numbers, but she was in the hospital for a week and took awhile to get back to her birth weight.

The doctor said something about up to 10% of body weight being in range as long as everything else is normal.

7lb 15oz when born and when we left the hospital he was 7lb 9oz

My son lost a few oz.

My son was 6lb3 and dropped to 5lb11 he's a month old now and 9lb4

My son went from 8lbs 2oz to 7 lbs 6oz and my daughter went from 7lbs 5.8oz to 7lbs 4oz so it just kinda depends on the kid

My boy only gained, my daughter a few oz only.

About a pound or so

My daughter only lost a few ounces
