So my baby is exclusively breast fed, any tips on how to get a good stash before I return to work? When I pump I only get about 2 ounces of milk, that’s it! I also read moms who exclusively breast feed normally pump little to almost nothing of milk . Tips please

Early morning is the best time to pump. It stores back up. You can feed on one side and pump the other then alternate. Breast milk is supply and demand so don’t give up. The more you pump/feed the more you’ll get.

Just keep pumping. I ebf'd until I went back to work. I get about 8 oz first thing in the morning, then 5 to 8 oz subsequent sessions depending on how long I've gone between a pumping or feeding. I have a deep freezer of 1,000 ounces, maybe more. I've stopped counting it. Lol.

Thank you so much , I’m sad I may not to be able to exclusively breast feed my baby, but will make sure to only give her mommy breast milk

@krystinafajardo Fed is best! Don't stress too much. Breastfeeding didn't work out for my first. It was such a struggle. I was prepared for that again, but was pleasantly surprised.

My baby is exclusively bf and I pump 3 times a day. I get at least 4 oz from each breast in the morning and maybe 2.5 from each the other two times.

Thanks , okay so I definitely need to just pump more , maybe that’s why I’m not pumping as much

Try pumping for longer even after no more milk is coming out, that basically tells your breast they need to produce more milk & eventually they will

Thank you , I hardly pump but when I do it’s so discouraging

Just pump on opposite of nursing side. Just do your best but you'll be pumping each day for next days once your stash is up.

How many times you think I should be pumping ? And you think my manual pump is good enough , or my electrical one

Breast pump covered by insurance

I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.

babybump_user You may want to ask your doctor for a prescription for a hospital grade pump if you
may042017 I will be ordering the Medela Pump in Style. I'm pretty sure my insurance covers either that
babybump_user With my insurance I couldn't get one till after baby was born and it took forever to
