I'm so depressed. Just a eviction notice. To be out by the 1st. I'm due Sunday. No place to go all the shelters have a waiting list. No family have space for a family of 5 about to be 6. I been crying all day. I feel like a failure. I have no place to go

@sleepymommy Thanks for looking it up for her. I didn't read all of the comments or know the full extent of the situation. I have been on the wrong end of a "bad tenant" before and can see it from both sides. My heart goes out to her though because it's one thing to be a "bad tenant" and another to fall on hard times with the need for a helping hand. I hope things work out well for her in the end and that the baby comes happy and healthy!!!

OP: Don't know the full extent of your situation but check your local laws. Often times they are written in favor of the tenant and not the landlord. Eviction takes time and money on the part of the landlord(I have a rental property and pray I never have to go through the process). Especially if you live in a cold weather state and the fact you are pregnant you should be able to get a stay of eviction as well as when with notice he can't force you to leave unless he/she has documents signed by a judge. So call a local attorney and get the facts so you can have the time needed until you find someplace. Best wishes. Also, if you have been making up your payments and have documentation showing that you had a legitimate health reasons for why you fell behind you may be protected under the Fair Housing Act. @leahkay he doesn't want to take me court I fell behind when I got sick and was outta work for a few weeks. I been making payment but he doesn't want to start 2019 with any back payments. Which is crazy
Why are they evicting you? Could you possibly ask for an extension to give your self more time to figure something out?
Call Human Resources,hit up some churches even go to the fire department . All of these places can probably help you out
Look into any resources you can find. See if you can any churches or companies like an opportunity Inc that could help with your rent.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing.
