Gotta laugh at ignorant people. Ima cancer advocate for ped patients and mainly all i do is educate ignorance but sometimes i just have to laugh. Shaved my husband the other day bc his hair was getting too unmanageable for him and a kid asked if he had cancer. Said he had cancer years ago but was in remission and asked why and the kid said oh i thought bald always meant cancer.... anyone else want to tell me why its necessary to educate on cancer or....? Also. When has it ever been ok to walk up to a complete stranger and ask if they have cancer? 9 times out of 10 its completely obvious. If you ever notice a sick person please for the love of almighty jesus Christ himself do NOT loudly acknowledge that youre aware of their physical condition and also please do them a favor and ask anything else but 1. What type of cancer they have 2. Are they going to die or 3. Does cancer hurt. Theyd be abliged to answer ofcourse bc theyre normal questions. Just be aware theyre annoying and theyd rather talk about life. Kids. Anything else. Might even be abliged to talk about the devil himself before they answered #3 for millionth time.

No I'm not mad at all. I thought it was funny that he asked such a weird thing bc I assumed that he would know at the age of seventeen that not all bald people have cancer.

kids are kids. not every single one of them know what kind of questions they can or can’t ask.....

Being a child that asked as you said, I'm sure they were just curious and meant nothing malicious by it. Kids think differently and are still learning. Maybe it's just a conversation that's never really come up at home for them? I don't think a kid is necessarily being ignorant.

Are you truly this upset that a child asked a question? A great majority of the time, kids have no filter and their questions come from pure curiosity.

When i was a kid i went up to a lady (i was 4) and asked what happened to her nose and if she had a boo boo since there was a large plaster over it and a tube. She then told me she lost her nose during the war. Dont know how exactly she worded it but thats the jist of it.
Were my parents mortified? Hell yes. Was that lady annoyed? Probably. Did i know any better? Not really, i asked my parents they said they didnt know, so i went to the source. 😂

Kids are curious so they ask questions... their brains aren’t fully developed so they don’t always know the right questions to ask.

I think you all misunderstood. When I say child I'm not meaning toddler. I'm meaning this kid was 17 years old. Old enough to know better than to ask rude questions.

My apologies. It was late and I had a rough day. I do understand kids though. When I was four years old I was pale and got made fun of for it. My favorite color was black and my mom's best friend was also black. I had no idea racism even existed being so young and I remember I ran up to her best friend and said can I be black like you? You're pretty. Really loud which i guess embarrassed my mom to no end but her friend handled it well and for my birthday that year I got a black Barbie doll which were rare in the 90s. When I got older my friend's daughter was struggling bc she couldn't find any Barbie dolls that looked like her and we're black and she was also struggling with people making fun of her for being interatial so for her 6th birthday I gave her my Barbie. Sometimes curiosity goes full circle if you handle it well but with that guy I was just completely shocked with how rude and ignorant his question was and of course I would have let it slide if he were smaller.
