Where are you on the spanking debate? It is a parent's choice, some kids are so strong willed they don't respond to anything but a whack on the tush, but I have seen many adults take it too far as well.

All who support spanking, thinking your babies are being malicious and intentional should read up on childhood development and read the studies on the detriments of spankings. Call it a pat, pop, tap, whatever the hell cutsey name you want- you’re spanking your kids and causing long term harm. Spanking is a lazy way of parenting. Educate yourselves and do right by your babies.

I don’t hit my child to discipline her and I never will. Hitting my child says I don’t know how to control my emotions and my temper. Hitting my child says I feel like I have to instill fear in her for her to respect me and behave. Hitting my child says that I’m messing up somewhere as a parent and I need to figure it out. The same parents that spank/whoop their children are the same ones that are in shock when their kids hit them back or when their kids get in trouble at school for hitting, then they turn around and hit them again for said hitting. It doesn’t make sense. I simply cannot teach my child that it isn’t okay to hit others (unless it is out of self defense) by turning around and hitting her in the name of discipline and punishment. I want her to trust me, not fear me.
