Charlie's just had his 2 and a half year review and has been referred to a speech therapist 😫 His behaviour is also below where it should be, but she thinks his frustration with speech may he affecting that so can't refer him for his behaviour until she sees if speech therapy makes a difference to his behaviour. I feel so heart broken for him, can't help but feel I've failed him 😭 I hope to god therapy improves his speech and that his behaviour is just linked to his frustration in not communicating properly 😔

Don’t panic! Logan was referred for speech therapy 6 months ago we still haven’t heard anything yet, but his speech has come on amazing in the last few months putting 3-4 word sentences together. Does Charlie have a dummy or a bottle? My hv told me to get rid of the bottle and dummy which I only actually got rid of the bottle not the dummy because he only has dummy for bedtime and it’s helped massively! Don’t feel like you’ve let him down some kids take longer than others I know it’s hard when it’s your kid but he will eventually get there hun! Xx

Really? That's amazing! Charlie knows so many words, but he really struggles with putting more than one word together. He has no dummy and he's just dropped his only bottle (nighttime) it's just hard not feeling like you're to blame, you know? Hopefully we see an improvement. I just feel so bad on the poor kid! Xx
