How much did y’all talk down when buying your home ? 🤔
@crharmer, see , I only moved here in February. And we just started looking for houses to actually buy and not rent . So idk how the market is by me 😂
Really depends on the asking price and how the market is in your area. I have friends who sold for 10k OVER asking because the market was hot. Is definitely something your realtor should help you with.
He’s confident in our offer , but I was just wondering what other people offered or talked down! Kinda like a how much it too much lol
We paid almost 4k above asking for our house 3 years ago bc we were in a bidding war and houses in my town were selling the same day they were going on the market
We offered 10k less than the list price. (It had been listed for a month I believe, and was overpriced to begin with.) After inspection came back we negotiated down another 10k
We put in the asking for ours. It all depends how long it’s been on the market for.
With our first house, we got it for $10,000 less because it had been on the market for a while and the owners were motivated to sell. With our second house, we put in a full price offer because the market was moving fast and we didn't want to lose it.
Offered 5 grand under asking for our first and offered what they were asking for our second because we didn't want to lose it. For the next house it really depends on the circumstances but probably above asking as the market moves quicker in our current location.
