My boyfriend/father of my child(ren) is a farmer and works a lot during this time of year. We are lucky to see him 30 minutes each day. I joke about being a single mother for a couple months. I understand that what he’s doing is for us but my son doesn’t. He sees it as dad wakes up and goes to work, comes home at bedtime, and repeat.
I just had to vent because he actually has the day off due to rain and instead of wanting to spend time with his son, he left before we woke up to go hunting. It breaks my heart that he would rather do that than spend time with his child he barely sees.
I think ur son will learn what it's like to work hard for ur family as well as having alone time or a hobby
choose a day that they can do something together and u go do something wknd try not to dwell on it
as a father i'm sure ther is down time in the year
Call his ass n tell him come get his kid in take him to the park or Chuck E. Cheese or something. That’s a damn shame he not even thinking about his kid! Smh I know we all want to do what we want but what about the baby? He the one who missing out.
@ladyfreyja, agreed he needs it. I just don’t know how to try and explain to my son that part. He sees dad leave and cries for 30 minutes at the door waiting for him to come back
It's though. I bet he misses you guys and his hobbies to. I know my husband works a bunch and he always talks about going fishing and playing guitar and how much he misses it all. Sometimes we need our hobbies, it's therapy. But hey just think if he gets anything while hunting it's food on the table
I’m in a similar boat, where hubby is his own boss, and constantly gone due to work... by the time he finally spent some time at home, my lo wouldn’t go to him to be held, or let him pick her up, or in general listen to him for anything. He was in essence a stranger
I told him that enough was enough, and he either cut back work a bit, or stopped coming unless he could be here for more than a few days at a time... 🤭. It was the kick in the butt my hubby needed to stop being gone so much....
I know it's not the same, but can you bring your LO out to the farm occasionally to let him see his father? I had to get an iPhone to do FaceTime, since hubby wasn't close by, and let my lo talk to him and see him. It helped out a lot....
