Im seriously loosing it i dont know how to do it with my baby anymore with the breastfeeding she keeps falling asleep i can't wake her up I've tried everything but as soon as i put her down 2 minutes and she's crying like crazy i pick her up and give her the boob and right back to sleep. I've been pumping and giving her bottle and breast here an there but its been 2 days I've tried to only keep her on breast and I'm so done with trying 😭 by breasts are full and im scared shell make my supply go down
@president.mommy.on.board. i definitely need to know how your making your oatmeal please and i bought a earth mama tea but i only drink 1 here and there .. the thing is we dont even have a set schedule or i dont even know when shes going to eat so i could pump .. cause i also dont want to pump and leave her without anything since i really want her to just stick to my breast
I pump when she does that and give my son the milk I pumped. For my milk supply I was told by my breastfeeding consultant to pump every time she eats (after she eats) or you can pump 30 minutes before every feeding as well and it will help your milk to go up.
I drink Mother’s milk tea and I make oatmeal (I mix different oats and make me oatmeal) and drink lots of water & eat lots of protein. That will help your milk supply to stay there.
@president.mommy.on.board. the one i already seen was the one from the hospital .. i will have to try going back to wic
@president.mommy.on.board. yes it is so frustrating .. i guess i have no other choice .. but i also don't want my supply to decrease .. i worked on it to increase since i noticed it went down after the 2nd week
If you have WIC you can talk to their breastfeeding consultant and she’ll help you with the latch. You could also go to the hospital she was born in and ask to see their breastfeeding consultant.
Try doing that. I don’t put my baby girl down in the crib I just let her be with me till she wakes up on her own and cries for the boob. It will take time and believe me it is very frustrating because one also needs sleep too.
@president.mommy.on.board. @sweetsap88 oh man i just feel i cant anymore i been trying for 2 weeks so that shell only take my breast but i thats the problem and maybe that she need to latch deeper
@president.mommy.on.board. my still does it i hope she could stop.. but like she wont even stay latched anymore shell wake up a couple minutes later i literally have to put her down away from me but as soon as i pick her up she start going back to sleep or a little after shes latched on
It will definitely take time but she will get there. Just have patience.
@sweetsap88 i have , but i w was left in the same situation. Since she latched well there and was weighed before n after she didnt tell me much anything but to keep her w.out bouttle for a day or 2which i tried but eventually yesturday i ended giving her abottle and today also bc of how i notice shell prefer sleep
My baby girl does the same thing and it’s frustrating, but now she’s starting to grow out it. She still does it but not as much. I unlatch her every time she falls asleep on my boob and she’ll wake up to eat after she notices that she’s not latched on. I wait till she wakes up and cries to pop her back. The pediatrician told me to do that because she was using me as a pacifier. That’s so she can know that the boob is to eat not fall asleep on. Now, she notices that I am unlatching her and she’ll wake up and start to eat.
Shes been this way since like she was 2 weeks old and i would leak alot while she was on the breast so i thought she was getting enough but then i went to doctor and in 2 weeks she only gained 2 oz . So I got scared by the doctor that i might have had to supplement so i started pumping and giving her bottle .. she latches and sucks but then she just stops i notice milk doesnt start coming right away unless she is latched on a little wider and sucking more..
Your baby is five weeks? She might be going thru a leap, so she's more fussy and clingy than normal and sleeping more. Or maybe she's having a growth spurt. Google wonder weeks and growth spurt and see if any of them apply to your baby.
Is she latched on but not sucking? When she falls asleep and you can wake her, try taking her clothes off and maybe her diaper and see if that wakes her up. It's not advisable to pump before 6 weeks... but I would pump and "empty" the breasts so that the supply doesn't go down.
Madi is taking ounce after ounce I literally can not keep up. I want to give her rice cereal to keep her full😑
So I've been drinking a ton of water since I was brought up to my room and I've been pumping every 2 hours but I'm not pumping anything. Feeling really discouraged. The nursery isn't giving babygirl any formula as they have her hooked up to an IV but Im already feeling like a failure :(
I want to so bad take my daughter in to the ER she's been throwing up since about 2 can't keep the pedialyte that I'm giving her down. The on call pediatrician just tells me to keep giving her pedialyte
Have any of you ladies tried the fruit roll up on your s/o? My friends keep telling me about it but I haven't done it I kinda feel lame oh well 😭😂😭😭😭😭!!!!
My baby girl does not let me do anything all day 😭 I'm lucky if everything is done before my s.o gets home , she cried so I pick her up to feed her and change her diaper and once she's on my breast she eats and I burp her put her down and she'll cry I get her again and she's on my breast not even latched on just smelling my boobs 😭 I'm like girl really lmao she wants me to carry her or be with her all day , girl I wish I could lmao
You know those big things of oats that one buys at Walmart? Well I buy different ones of those and mix them together and I make oatmeal in the microwave since we don’t have a small pot yet. If I have bananas I would put half a banana or the whole thing your choice or strawberries (Any fruit of your choice really). Buy flaxseeds and put it in your oats too. You can also make a smoothie of oats and flaxseeds with peanut butter (if you’re not allergic) you can also add banana.
We don’t have a schedule yet either. I’m still trying to figure that out but I will get there. That’s why I pump after she eats. At first you won’t get much but if you keep doing it you’ll get more each time. That’s what my breastfeeding consultant told me last week. I don’t pump each time she eats but I do when I remember. I have another baby so it’s a little hard for me to sit and pump lol. Sometimes what I do is that I pump one boob while she eats in the other. My mom always tells me to pump every 30-40 minutes and it will bust up my milk supply. I haven’t tried that yet but I will.
