Yes i still deal with panic disorder. I was on medication but I stopped taking it.
The therapist usually just talks with you about what you’re feeling, helps you uncover why you might be feeling that way, helps you come up with ways to deal with it. It really helped to have someone validate my feelings and let me know what I was dealing with was normal & common and also to just have someone listen to me. I was nervous to go at first but I really enjoyed it.
I had ppd after my daughter and I’ve had panic disorder for a while (not postpartum related). I’d recommend talking to your doctor and getting a referral for a therapist. I really enjoyed going to therapy, it helped me.
