Well I’m 35 Weeks and my doctor prescribed my heating pads for my lower back at 25 Weeks and now that I have to stay in the hospital until my baby is born they give me heating pads every night to sleep because of my back pain. It’s ok as long as it not in the front according to my doctor

@bodybycheetos thank you for the info, I will put it on low.

On low, but not for long periods of time. When I was pregnant with my first I had a kidney infection and using the heating pad gave me internal burns. My back has purple/brown spots on it from the burns.

If I remember right the ones you put in the microwave are ok because they don’t get as hot but I could be wrong.

Yes you can. Heating pads dont raise your core temp like sitting in a hot tub would. There are no recommendations that you cant use one. Just not longer than 20 min and dont sleep on it.
