Hysterectomy After Josiah: Torn Between Pain Relief and Baby Desires?
Venting: My doctor has been wanting me to get a hysterectomy since after I had Josiah because all the pain I have in my uterus and it gets worse with each pregnancy and with every period I’m in excruciating pain 😖 he thinks I have endometriosis but I haven’t had the surgery yet to see, but he says my uterus is so bruised and scarred that he thinks the pain will only get worse.. he’s done multiple ultrasounds to see if anything else could be causing the pain and he said with each one he sees more scarred tissue.. I didn’t know they could see that by ultrasound but I guess, anyways long story short I’m really thinking about getting the hysterectomy... I’m so torn because I still want another baby but I just want this pain to be gone, I’ve been leaning towards the hysterectomy more I just don’t want to regret it 😔

@momof3dragons, yeah I’m going to see what another doctor says.. and although I want another baby I’m blessed to have the 3 I do have, I feel like I should focus more on my health now that’s why I’m leaning towards the hysterectomy
That's up to you girl. The way it sounds if it was me id say it's for the best but go ahead get a second opinion you never know. Im also a person who only wanted 2 kids and be done with it but you at least have children. See what another dr may say.
Maybe just try a different doctor in your own hospital/network. Good luck 🙁🙁
@kambam, I’m looking around for second opinions I just can’t find anywhere that accepts Medicaid.. and my husband has been surprisingly helpful here lately lol so maybe I’ll try some and see if it’ll help
Nah I would ask for every other procedure and checkup before removing an organ 😩 edibles made me sleepy too but better than being in pain. Maybe he can watch the kids when you nap too
@kambam, he didn’t even mention doing that first 😩 my husband smokes and has edibles he always offers it to me but it makes me so sleepy lol
They need to do hysteroscopy and ultra before a hysto. If you do have some adhesions they can be removed before sacrificing your whole or partial uterus. Hopefully you wont need one because they sound awful. In the meantime you should really consider using medical marijuana for your pelvic pain. Find some cbd/thc chocolate because it will save your sanity. I had awful periods before having my son, probably nowhere near your pain still.

@mommy_x3, i definitely would look at options before jumping right to the hysterectomy I know I need one and I’m still on fence about it lol
@shaneengregory29, yeah I’m in pain all the time it really never goes away but there’s some days it’s less then others.. that’s why he recommended the hysterectomy
@mombie., I was going to do the surgery he wanted to do it 6 months after I had Josiah... but I got pregnant 🤦🏻♀️😂 I may suggest having that surgery first to see if I do have it, if I don’t then I’ll see what my other options could be

Definitely get a second opinion but I would definitely do the surgery for the endometriosis the endometriosis makes you feel like death but once it’s all removed you feel so much better!! And gives you time to have another baby if you want one
Im so sorry hunn...id call medicaid, they will give you a list of doctors in the area that should accept medicaid.

I’ve been looking for another doctor to get a second opinion but all I have is Medicaid and I can’t find anywhere that’ll accept it.. the doctor I see said to have all the kids I want before I decide to go through with it but he feels that it’s best I get the hysterectomy and I’ve been in so much pain lately that I really been thinking about getting it ☹️

I would get another opinion before you go ahead and just do it...reason being is bcuz I’ve had situations where one doctor says or sees one thing then a second opinion turns the situation around and fixes me 100%.....I highly recommend getting a couple more opinions bcuz thats a big thing in my opinion hunn. Im sorry your going through that. Id also consult someone to see if you can still have one more and then fix your issue! Goodluck❤️💎
Its always good to have more than 1 doctor look, and too find other options you might have.
You should talk to another doctor. Or find a doctor that knows more about what you may have.
Having some pretty intense constant lower back pain and maybe super light contractions. But can't tell because the back pain is way over powering contractions so I'm walking around my room to see if they get worse.
I know this sounds sooo fkedup but sometimes i wanna get into a bad accident so my husband sees exactly all the things i do ... and how wrong he is by saying i don’t do enough ( not in those words but the jist of it ) anyway .... i think this all the time . Maybe then he will think differently .
i'm getting my baby circumcised tomorrow & it makes me so sad. i want to do it but i don't want to see him hurting :( makes me cry every time i think about it
He thinks I’m cheating when I’m running my errands like it’s makes me sad and wanting to leave him 😢😢😢 cause he gets all mad and not wanting talk to after that even when I tell him what i was doing..
You might have endometriosis. My mom has the same pains n has it . n also debating on the hysterectomy
