@brittney.arp11, I’m already feeling as if I’m not putting him on the birth certificate.

@sherrynygirl, well, I feel like that’s wrong. You don’t want to be here now but when he gets here he’s going to want to be? No.... that’s not going to fly with me.

Maybe I’m just in my feelings right now but honestly my mind is made up to he’s not going to be on the birth certificate and the baby will have my last name as well

@cjkins..i live in Miami...in fl the father can only be on the birth certificate if HE signs the paper..you can't sign his name.and I'm an older mom so my experience In what I see in many men when their child is born they are more likely to then want to be involved in the child's life.

The cops will tell you it's a civil matter not criminal if his name is on the certificate. Know this for a fact

I have kids with a guy in Missouri and one here in Florida and if the father got the kids in physical custody and there's no paperwork I can't legally do anything about It. Actually had to search for my daughter's one time and it was not illegal for him to run off with them. Do not put his name on birth certificate.

If he chooses to be in baby’s life after baby is born- you won’t be able to keep him from the baby. To purposely do so is kinda shitty imo. He doesn’t owe you anything while pregnant. Especially since there seems to be a lot of animosity between you, it’s probably best he doesn’t. Once she’s here, that’s a different story.

Awesome!! He will not be on any paper work!! Period...

you’re right. He has to prove he’s even the father... so... I just can see his family saying wait til he’s born and then fights for split custody..

should I go to Pennsylvania to have the baby? Would that change anything?? Or just stay put here in FL. And go on with my life? I can assure you I won’t be in FL for much longer. I work all over the states working natural disasters so I won’t be here for ever..

thanks for your help girlfriend 🤗🤗

I’m giving the baby my last name.. and people are saying put him on the birth certificate but I’m not going to.

I do feel bad because I never grew up dealing with not having a parent. Mine were married for 20+ years before my mom passed away.. so I feel bad for him, but he’s loved so much already. He will never lack love. And I feel like that’s more important than having the word “dad” in his life. But I’m just worried about him trying to come after me once I have the baby

Okay!! My friend was saying FL laws are 50/50 split and that scares me.. we are not married and he has not been here at all. I’m 20 weeks and he went to ONE appointment. He has paid for nothing etc. if he’s not going to be here now then I don’t want him around at all... his family is nothing but drama and I just can’t deal with that. @skymomof4,

@skymomof4, well. I’m just trying to see if I have the baby in another state will I have to go through custody issues? That may be s stupid question... I’m just trying to avoid it... what if I move before I have the baby... can he find me or still want to go to court? The father isn’t in the picture now and I’ll be dammed if he thinks he’s going to be in the picture once that baby is born
