@shaneengregory29, that’s a lot 😔 I’m sorry! It’s been 6 months since you’ve been off bc, maybe talk to the dr about concerns next time you go? Does it lighten up at all?

@shaneengregory29, I think that’s supposed to be normal. According to most of my friends their periods got lighter when they were on bc. For me I think instead of being heavier it just lasts longer (so still more coming out than before).

@shaneengregory29, before I started bc I had my period for about 3-4 days. Same while I was on bc. When I was off it wasn’t too heavy, but it lasted 6-7 days.

My cycle was anywhere between 22 days and 33 days for the year and a half after I stopped taking bc. Before bc it was pretty darn regular.

@shaneengregory29, that’s not a question for me, that’s a question for your OBGYN. Download a period tracking app and track your menstrual cycles, it will help you. Your period coming on a different day each month does not make you irregular.

@shaneengregory29, I’ve never tried to conceive, and I’m not TTC now. My daughter was conceived because we just enjoyed having sex, we weren’t trying for her.

No, my period is not irregular. It comes every 28-29 days on schedule. I have a regular cycle.

@shaneengregory29, mine comes on a different day each month as well. It’s not going to be on the exact same date every single month. For example, my periods for the last three months started August 11, September 8, and October 7. I average a 28 cycle, so my period starts every 28-29 days.

Start using a period tracking app to track your cycles. I suggest the app “Life,” which is the one I use.

It can be for some women because their bodies have to get adjusted to not having BC. What makes you think your period is irregular?
