Any advice or tips to get toddler to sleep in his own bed and room ?

We let our little guy pick his light. And this happens honestly every 8 months or so hahaha but he picked a lava lamp now 😂

Read them a book in their bed kiss and hug them good night and leave but if they keep coming out continue to put them back or sit on the floor facing away from them until they fall asleep
