@momofboth, I don’t think that’s anything to worry about love. My nephew is autistic and he speaks just fine, just maybe a slower responding. I’m sure it’ll all be fine
Im sorry love my brother has autism and he's pretty amazing. He doesn't speak either but he's got a wonderful personality. Hes on a severe scale but your son may speak. May have a few bumps in the road but i have a friend whose daughter has it and she talks. Talk or no talk you will find a way to communicate.
My brother has autism as well. When he was little like 4 or 5 he still couldn’t talk very well. For the most part I was like his translator because no one else understood his “language”. He went through speech therapy all through elementary school which helped a ton. Now he’s 18 and functions in society like a normal person. He has a job, will graduate high school in December, and will be going to college for non destructive testing. He still has little autism ticks, but people that don’t know him don’t really notice it.
Hey momma look up on Facebook and follow coopers voice. It’s about her mom and her little boy that has very bad Austin and she is teaching him to speak. I almost cried when he said mom

I’m sorry mama. That must be so hard. If you don’t mind me asking why may he not ever speak to you?

@momofboth, why does that mean he wouldn’t be able to speak?
c. g·
@cowgirl2790 well my cousin with autism is older than him and can't speak so I'm scared he won't be able to .
