4 weeks postpartum today. Had a second degree tear from pushing out my beautiful 9lb 2oz daughter. And my fiancé is pissed because i am scared and don’t want to try having sex yet. He says the doctor said wait 4 to 6 weeks and he expects me to be ready the day it turns to 4 weeks.. anyone else have or had this issue?

4 weeks!? With a tear!? Omg your husband sounds ridiculous. Are you even on birth control yet? Some men can be so inconsiderate. Give him a bottle of lotion and tissues haha

Nope no birth control yet and I give him oral you’d think that would be ok. He keeps asking if we can atleast try and if it hurts we can stop and I tell him no I’m not ready to try yet and he gets irritated brings up the 4 to 6 weeks thing and I’m like yeah that’s doctor recommended and we just barely hit 4 weeks and I don’t feel ready I understand that we haven’t had sex in a while because during my pregnancy I wasn’t really in the mood and I mean right now we don’t really even sleep in the same bed because baby has a hard time sleeping and it’s easier to feed on the couch. Maybe he just feels like we are losing our intimacy idk.

He can go play with his hands. Never mind the trauma from tearing externally- how about the wound in your uterus from the placenta detaching.
