MOMS!! I need advice pleaseeeee, I have no idea who to ask about this.
So I’ve posted about my chunky son before, not fitting clothes.. and now he’s outgrown his car seat. The car seat we have been using is 5-22 pounds and he is now 25 pounds and his shoulders obviously don’t fit anymore. So me and my SO went shopping for a new one. There’s plenty of options until we realize... all the ones we were looking at have NO HANDLES!! I mean like, no way to carry the seat at all. Which is fine, but my son is only 5 months old.. and I don’t feel comfortable carrying him to and from the car yet since there is 2 sets of stairs I have to walk down to get to my car from my apartment. I went to 2 different stores and I couldn’t find a big enough car seat that has a handle. Am I missing something here? Should I just get one without a handle? Please help me out!

@akcatprincess, yes then I got a lot of use out of my Ergobaby carrier and stroller. I’ve stopped using my Ergobaby only because I’m pregnant
@flamingomom, yeah that’s what I was thinking but I wasn’t sure. So you just carried her to and from the car since then?
My daughter outgrew her infant carrier seat at 5 months and has been in a convertible seat since then. These don’t leave the car which is probably why you’re not seeing handles.

So I got rid of my spacious Chevy Impala and now have a compact Hyundai Elantra. I’m trying to figure out which car seat would fit best in a smaller car.?? The car seat will go behind the passenger so there will be a little more room to move the front seat up.
When should I change to a high back booster? So my son is 5&1/2 years old and about 55lbs. He still in a 5 point harness car seat. When should I change him to the high back booster seat? I have the graco 3 in one seat.
I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.
I got my daughter a new car seat and I love it! It’s so much smaller than her old one and it adjusts so easily! If your looking for a seat for a small vehicle this one is good!
I got a car seat from a friend and a stroller online the carseat fits in the stroller but the shade won't close :( get a smaller car seat or keep it ?
@spookylyn, oh wow, that works out good then I guess!!! We will have to get a baby carrier then! Lol and just get a convertible car seat
