Does anyone know how it works if I wanna make this my last baby and get my tubes tied? I know I have to sign a federal consent and wait 30 days but will they do a csection ?
I ended up with a csection and they did my tubal then. If I would have had a vaginal birth, they would have waited 6-8 post partum to do the tubal, and it would have been done laparoscopically.
Talk to your Dr. I know some Drs will do elective C-sections, but it's more expensive and you'd have to see if insurance would cover it since it would be elective. Some places don't make you wait 30 days either (idk if it's different everywhere, but when I had my son I had the option of getting a tubal when I was in the hospital after having him). Your Dr may ask you to write them a letter for your reasoning of wanting the tubal. I personally would not get a csection if I didn't 100% need one.
They usually won’t do a section unless medically necessary. They can tie your tubes while you’re still at the hospital. Usually the next day i believe. 🤔
