Why not tell them you are taking better care of your health and wanting to abstain form alcohol? Or that you're on a diet. That always shuts them up

Just tell her you’re not in the mood to drink! You could also tell her you’re trying out a diet and can’t drink your calories or that you’ve had some stomach issues and don’t want to chance spending more time in the bathroom 😂

You could tell them you’re on an antibiotic.

you're on new meds or something and don't want to end up getting sick while visiting

Tell them you had a uti/bladder infection, and the antibiotics they put you on, you can’t drink on them.

That’s what I used, and I have actually had a uti, and the medicine they gave boldly said not to drink alcohol.

They didn’t ask anymore questions lol

Or when she orders you a drink, grab the bartender or server, whichever. And tell them make me that drink without alcohol lol, because I’m pregnant and I’m not telling my mom yet so she doesn’t know.

I went out to brunch with a friend and I was like omgggg I’m so hung over, I can’t even look at alcohol. Worked like a charm 😉

It's always so crazy to me that people need a good excuse to not have a drink rather than just saying they don't want a drink 🤷🏼‍♀️

@mamabear918 every time I've refused a drink, she's accused me of being pregnant. And then refuses to believe that I'm not and causes issues. It's been that way even when I was breastfeeding.

Either say you have a horrible headache or you are on new medication.

Will you be driving? Tell them you are the designated driver for the night! Or if your son is with you, tell them someone has to watch your son sober. If all else fails, youre on medication and cannot take it mixed it with alcohol.

1 tell tem you’re on antibiotics for some uti? Or just say you took advil or tylenol for headaches.

2 or just hold your drink in your hand and no one notice you’re not drinking. And pour it when no one sees.

Just tell her you ain't feeling it and your wanting to not upset your tummy cause you think you may have a stomach bug

Just tell her it’s your their birthday and you would like to not drink.. at a kids birthday I don’t think the parents should be drinking always.

We're celebrating both of ours, his and mine. Our birthdays are a week apart. We'll be celebrating Henry's one day and mine the next. It's only my celebration day I'm really worried about.

I used the antibiotics excuse when I was in the first trimester too, nobody ever argues with that one.

But the things women always know. Before I walked in my cousin house I knew she was pregnant. Also you are grown and you don't live with her. So no disrespect is not your mother's business.

Now for that excuse 🤔 you don't want to drink and drive. Or you don't want to drink with your kid in the same room.
