Does anyone take a prenatal plus extra iron pills?

They gave me iron pills because they found out my iron was low; But a full iron diet for a few days brings you back on the right key. So if you ever end up having vomiting problems right after you take one- I would do that. My doctors know I've been doing it and they haven't said anything about it.

I had to with 4 of the 5 pregnancy sometimes u just need the extra boost to make sure ur healthy and so is it little bundle of joy

I became anemic half way through my pregnancy with my second. And I just kept taking a prenatal even when not pregnant because I needed a multi vitamin anyways. But I also continue the iron when I'm not pregnant also. Maybe a good one to call and ask your doctor about. It's been good for me.

@jessig2006 Well I'm ttc and i just didn't want to take too much iron since the prenatal has plenty in it, wasn't sure if others on here had to take more. I know you need more when you're pregnant
