For us it was yes. At our 20 week scan the sonographer couldn't tell his gender as he was in an awkward position, and little brother got to come along to the private scan. It's not rushed either and just much more relaxed environment.
I really enjoyed mine, pictures was okay but it was more of a relaxed baby focused environment and I go to see everything at my 20 week I must have saw baby for all of 5 minuets? And I was able to take my mother and Partner to the gender one where as only 1 person can join you at the nhs one xx
yeah i wanna have a private gender scan first cos i’ll be more relaxed and surprised & ofc i’ll have the NHS 20 weeks one again which would confirm it anyway @winterbaby95, @elletaylor, xx
We did and it was nice, made a day of it going shopping after etc, also good getting it confirmed again at 20 weeks! NHS aren’t too bothered about gender (as doing other important checks) so private is more focused and relaxed I thought x
Nope :) you can find it out for free at 20 weeks...always a chance it will be wrong earlier :) best to wait xx
In the area I live in gender scans are not available on the nhs. We had a private scan at 15 weeks and 2 days. Very clearly that we are having a boy. Pictures are not great due to his position but wasn’t bothered about that. It I definitely worth it!
