@mckeekat, sounds like your on your period now. I would get some opks now so after your period you can start to track when your going to ovulate.

There’s digital ones from Clearblue, they are expensive but they will tell you. No guessing if it’s a positive or not.

Then there’s cheapies. I like the easy@home off Amazon.com.

Some also will tempt, because ovulation testers will only tell you when a surge is detected not if you actually ovulated. Taking your temp will confirm it.

I didn’t ever have the IUD, but it sound like you started your period. Instead of having it as 1week pregnant switch it to where it says planning my pregnancy. Give it some time for your period to regulate, and your hormones back to normal and keep track of your period by one of those period apps.

In my cause, on September 8, I got my positive ovulation test and I started my period on September 21. I didn’t get my positive ovulation test this month.

There’s always a 50/50 change to get pregnant or not to get pregnant, and there always a next time to start again.

I know, how stressful it can be, because it took me 7years to get pregnant with my son and it’s been 1year of trying to conceive my second bundle of joy.

You're very welcome 😄 baby making can be very stressful. Try to enjoy it and remember you just got your IUD out. It could take your body a little while to get everything straight again and let it. Enjoy this time as hard as it is. Pamper yourself.

If an egg does not release your body will gear up to try again before your period. The time between the egg releasing and your period is the luteal phase. A normal luteal phase can last anywhere from 11 to 17 days. In most women, the luteal phase lasts 12 to 14 days. Your luteal phase is considered to be short if it lasts less than 10 days. If your period is coming in less than 10 days it can make it difficult if not impossible to get pregnant. Your body needs an adequate amount of time for the egg to fertilize, travel and implant.

@mckeekat your IUD was removed Friday. You got your positive opk on Saturday? And another on Sunday but you shouldn't continue to test after the first positive. It's detecting your lh surge which is before an egg should release. Just because you have an lh surge does not mean that you're guaranteed to release an egg. But if you do it happens 12-36 hours after your first opk positive. on average it takes 6-12 days for an egg to implant. So if you released an egg and it was fertilized you would still be 4-10 days out from potential implantation. On average a home pregnancy test will show positive 2-3 days after implantation. Right now it would be impossible to know.

@jessig2006. So there is a possibility i could be pregnant?

There is no way you should be on your period right now. If you took an ovulation test and it was positive you should release an egg in 12-36 hours. Your period is your body shedding your uterine lining. You're only a few days out from having your IUD removed. This could just be bleeding from the removal or your body trying to regulate.
