So we were going to use my son's old crib for the new baby since we got our son a toddler bed. Now he wants to sell the old crib since its a regular sized crib with changing table attached and takes up a lot of room. He says we don't need the changing table part and wants to use the money from selling the old crib to get a mini crib. While it makes sense because we don't have a whole lot of room and we only used the changing table for the first three months I'm emotionally attached to that crib because it was our son's. What would you do? Keep the old crib or sell it and get a mini crib to save on space?
@aylenrose, Makes sense, have you guys decided on keeping or getting rid of the crib ?
@colorfuldreams That's what ours is its a 4-1 crib so its supposed to grow with baby 😊 we just knew we would be trying again so we got a toddler bed while it was on sale at toys r us so both would have a bed.
@aylenrose, I have a combo crib too with changing table. It actually changes into a toddler bed
@aylenrose I never wanted a changing table but we still use it for my first. I use it here and there for both but SO uses it as much as possible. I know what you mean though. Like this bassinet was used less than five times this go. Im not ready to move it and make room lol.
@wolfnurturer yeah just kind of bummed not to have the changing table even though I know it wasnt used that much 😂 I guess I will get over it.
@wolfnurturer yeah it saves on space still and we won't have to pay more for another crib. It will just be like a normal crib.
@wolfnurturer he said that he just won't put on the changing table part since we didn't use it much to save on room.
I think if you already have something and plus it can be used in many ways, then there is no point in selling it because you may still end up paying out of pocket The sentimental value is a very important factor too. Could try to arrange things to make room though. I like to keep everything (that pertains to my kids) possible, because they all have stories when it comes to the kids growing and so on.
Depends on how bad you need to save space 🤷♀️
@al_lopezzzz2718 @colorfuldreams yeah it has sentimental value to me and I still want to use the changing table for the first few months again. Plus like you said maybe we can pass it down.
I would want to keep the old crib as well, especially because eventually you could give it to your son when he has a child of his own.
You could have it in storage or if u rent a house, your garage
Keep the old crib!! It has a lot of memories!!
Changing tables with the dressers are so expensive. I think it's better I get a cute little dresser to put her stuff in and maybe the plastic bins with the draws attached. Her closet has plenty room. So I'm not spending so much on a changing table😐

Top two is the nursery, bottom two is in our room. Mini crib given to us! How many mommas have their baby in the room with them? How long did that last before transitioning to their own room?
I'm not sure what I should get for my baby to sleep in a pack & play , a bassinet or a crib with the changing table attachment. My baby is going to be rooming with me so what would you ladies recommend ?

So excited!! We have our crib and changing table. 😍
Why is it so hard to find a crib and changing table that match?!
@colorfuldreams I think we are keeping it and he's just not going to attach the changing table part so save on space.
