I plan to breastfeed but on occasion if I ever can’t be with her I will need bottles. Any recommendations that won’t cause nipple confusion?
I used different bottles the entire time my favorite was tommie tippy, neither of my girls I breast fed ever got nipple confusion, my lactation nurse said it’s rare for it to actually happen.
We decided we wanted 1)daddy bonding time, 2)I needed more sleep than under 2 hrs at a time So, we give him 1 bottle each night since he was 2.5 weeks old. I was so worried about nipple confusion but the odds of that occurring is actually less than 5% in babies. That being said we still went with Avent natural size 0 nipples with a slow flow. We also use the smoothie pacifiers. He has had no problem switching between these two and breastfeeding (I exclusively breast feed on demand except the 1 bottle feeding) and we are all much happier with him soothing with a pacifier some than my boob 24/7.
Brands like tippee tommee and nuk have nipple that mimic the feel and design of a nipple
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Medela worked great for us. I wanted something simple and that was it. I could pump into it, store, heat and feed all in the same bottle and baby had no issues with the nipples. This time I’m using dr brown nipples with it though. The great thing is it’s a standard ring so you can try a lot of different nipples if there is an issue.
