I have done so well throughout my entire pregnancy about not getting hurt. Then this week happened.... 4 days ago as i opened my front door my puppy zeni spotted a cat and bolted out the door in the dark.. need i remind you he is a black dog and very hard to spot in the dark. So i chased after him and caught him but fell in the process. Landing on my knee full force hurt my left knee and hip. They started feeling better and today i was in the office doing some work on the weekend that needed to be finished and i tripped. I didn't actually fall down but it did something weird and hurt my hip again. 😢

I've fallen too, anytime you fall in your pregnancy you are supposed to report it to your OB. The pressure can effect the way your baby is growing, be careful, and call asap

@igeerry yes but now its painful kicks. My ribs are sore from him.

The hormone relaxin relaxes your joints so trips and falls can happen more often because you’re all loosey goosey. I agree with pp, let your doc know just in case.

@cams I was planning on calling tomorrow anyway. After I tripped today I started having sharp pains in my stomach and then it moved to full on nausea. I'm also having bad back pain. Cramps. But i also know a lot of that just happens during pregnancy so idk lol

@jaquelinerachelle, you can always call L&D at the hospital you’re delivering at and speak to a nurse tonight.

@jaquelinerachelle ya I know how you feel, not only do I have sore ribs but extremely painful acid reflux and heart burn

The main concern of falling this far along is your placenta detaching. I fell at 28 weeks ( but full body weight on my belly) and my placenta had a small tear, it didnt harm anything but I got yelled at by my dr for waiting a day to come in because it could have been worse.

Usually it would cause bleeding and I wasn't so I didnt go in. Of course I was the small % that the blood was trapped up top. But you didn't fall on your stomach like me and I mean i fell so hard on my baby that it knocked the wind out of me.

@jmedina wow, that sounds so painful, I had to have an emergency ultrasound recently cause my youngest decided to stay up all night and fall on my belly. I have a bruise along the outside, but they kept me over night mostly because my platelets were low, definitely something to be concerned about this far along
