Anyone ever stop doing nap time with their child under three? If so why?

My 2 year old barely naps, I am fine with it, it means early bedtime!

@mommin-aint-easy @mamabear1017 My child has been fighting naps and sleeping less during nap time if I can get one in for almost two weeks. Bed time though is no issue and roughly gets 10-12 hours of sleep. Since this has been so consistent I'm thinking of doing away with naps.

I stopped with my daughter around 2. If she takes a nap she won’t go to bed until like 11/12

@feeneythebashingqueen My child still sleeps at night regardless. Just for a few weeks now nap time has been hard and basically disappearing. So I think it is finally time to cut it.

My son did the same thing he fought his naps so hard and now we let him stay up and he's down for bed with little to no fuss at 7:30-8 amd then wakes up at about 7 in the morning.

@aylenrose Yeah I don't think it's worth my child getting all worked up and having anxiety just to nap. So we are going to cut them and see how it goes.

@wolfnurturer as long as he wants to nap during the day I'm going to let him. If I try to keep him up just so he'll go to bed early at night, he's cranky and too much for me to handle. It's just me taking care of him all but 4 days out of the month. So I need all the breaks I can get.

@wolfnurturer thats how we felt to and while it kind of sucks not to get that hour and a half break its so much better having him go down easy for bed because then I can relax and go to bed to lol

@gothamsmama Oh I understand. At least he seems to go down for them. My child fights it so hard now and I'm starting not to see the point. Since gets so much sleep at night and wake up decently.

@aylenrose I know that's right. I only get a "break" at night now lol and even then I usually fall out lol. Bed time has been a plus for both kids though.

@wolfnurturer right that's me! I'm like yes some me time! Then 20 minutes later I'm knocked out lmao yeah if it works for you and works for them go for it.😊
