Been so hard to pump milk and feed baby every 2 to 3 hours if not my boobs throb and hurts i only get at least 1 or 2 hour sleep not enough im exhausted

One thing my lactation consultant told me was, pump for a little bit to get your nipples erect then try to latch babe. Or maybe get him to use the shield then take it away during the feeding. Stay strong momma! Pumping is no joke!
Also I know ur nipples r flat and he hasn’t latched so far. but keep trying every day try while ur laying down n see will he do it.
After about 2-4 weeks ur body will get use to making the amount ur baby drinks. And it shouldn’t be so bad. The first two weeks r the worst for me. I usually have to much milk then it balance out n a few weeks. just try to bump every 2-3 hours if u can and pump for at least n hour.
@shannae3 i do put abwarm towel on my breasts it works and it helps pumping then after too feels better
@shannae3 so when would the engorgenent stop? How long can i go on without pumping? I was never successful with breastfeeding with my other kids
Ok I see. Have u tried putting a hot towel on ur breast while u pump? Massaging them while pumping may help also. I hope it get better soon. Don’t give up if that’s not what u want to do u will fine a way!! 😘
@mhbb3 yea i know but dont breastfeed directly anymore thats why i pump so that my boobs aint getting engorged
@shannae3 no my nipples too flat n he was using a nipple shield but he stopped its been really hard to breastfeed him completely now i just pump n give him in bottle
You really dont need to pump. You are telling your boobs to make what baby is eating plus what you are pumping out. You are building over supply and that causes engorgment.
Even if you want to build a stash just pump.a little after baby eats.

Ladies what was your work schedule like while pregnant? I work 40 hours a week & have only 2 days off a week . Should I cut my hours back ?

I'm havin some contractions that are about 20 minutes apart and lasting 3 minutes. It's been pretty consistent for almost 2 hours. Is this the beginning of labor? My doctor said if I had 6 in an hour to go to L&D but I only had 4 in an hour. I'm 32 weeks with twins.
Anybody know what this might be? It's only on her back nowhere else and no other syptoms. On the way to a out of hours but the wait is 2 hours so my anxiety is bad😔
