@okaykayluhh, I got the Medela with my son for the same reason. Everyone said it was the best. But now Spectra is taking over. Yes, you can single pump with it! And if you still have Medela bottles to pump into, there's an adapter I use so I can use all my old bottles instead of having to buy Spectra ones. Let me know if you need the link to the adapters.

@aengs2 can you single pump on it? With my first he would only take one side so i had to pump the other. I was satisfied with the medela but not in love. I'm definitely leaning towards a spectra this time, i just went with medela last time cause it was "the best"

Spectra is way way way way better than Medela. I get twice as much milk from my Spectra. The Medela is rough on my nipples. Plus the Medela is an open system which can cause contamination. The Spectra wins, hands down.

Spectras are amazing. I used both and found the spectra to be more gentle and more effective.
