It's hard but very rewarding. You will feel like that's all you're good for at first lol some babies have issues latching which in return, will cause the mom to stop. There are lactation consultants at your hospital. UTILIZE THIS RESOURCE! They will help with any latching issues or will help in any other way possible. Good luck, you got this!

You can ask your doctor to referral you to a lactation consultant before you have your baby to ask her any questions.

@may042017, thank you 🙏🏾 I tried with my daughter for like 5 seconds and stop cause she was cry and the nurse was forcing her to latch I felt uncomfortable and overwhelmed at the time but now I wanna try and stick to it 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Patience patience and patience. It's hard knowing ur the only one that can feed this child ur the sole provider but that makes it that much more rewarding... Just go with it it's a team effort

And it's a learning process that ur both learning

The best way to get your milk to come is keep putting baby to breast . Every time you nurse it tell your body to produce my milk . Stay hydrated and drink lots of water

So now I hearing stories about nipple cream, you gotta use lettuce on the nipples so it doesn’t dry out etc..

@meka2013 lettuce will dry it out I love the bonding with baby and the baby will be all over you lil man is so attached to me it's so amazing and I only bled the day I had him the next day was so light I was worried but they informed me that it's because of breastfeeding and also make sure you stay well hydrated

@ambrebby2u, yea see someone told me to put it in my bra.. I rather talk to moms that knows the deal about breastfeeding and what comes with it... so it’ll be my first time but I got my breast pump so when will I have to use that??

@meka2013 the first week I strictly breastfeed the second week I started pumping and don't use lettuce or cabbage of your plan on breastfeeding it will dry you out

@meka2013 and I only used my pump cause I had so much breast milk and had to give my self some relief and had to help my hubby feed him as well
