Hello mommies I need y’all to help I’m a little confused every time I go to the doctor I forget to ask him
If my water brakes do I go straight to hospital or do I wait to have the contraction I know maybe stupid question but with my first I had a c section and it was scheduled
TIA
Hospital!!! After mine broke I had my daughter in my arms 2 hrs later- thankfully I was already in the hospital. BUT my doctor told me if it breaks when I’m not already there, to rush over- it’s a 30 min drive and she said it’s often a shorter delivery time for #2. I was having contractions before but didn’t actually feel them until it broke.
Mine broke but was a high leak so it took me forever for my contractions to regulate. My body started spazing so I had to get a pain shot to settle down. After that my contractions started regulating. Had I needed to go to the hospital i would have had to come in before 36 hours. Since I was with a CNM at a birthing center, she let me wait up til 36 hours later. I had my daughter at 9 pm that same night when contractions regulated to 4 minutes apart at 6 pm. ❤
Run to the hospital. Mine broke and the ambulance barely made it to my house to catch my baby as I had her on my bed 😒😒 however it's more uncommon for your water to break on its own then having the Dr break it, so I've heard. With my 1st preg my dr popped mine after I got .
Yes ma'am definitely straight to the hospital :) if you don't you can get an infection
@kaym, thanks for the info I just always thought you had to wait for the contraction
I had a c-section, but I was always told to call the birth center to let them know, and then go straight in. Birth is pretty imminent once your water breaks.
Thank you yeah people confuse some tell you no you wait to have contraction cause of not they send you home and what not I just want to be prepared if that does happen I’m already scheduled for my c section but I have a strong feeling that this baby will try to come out before that
