Any moms do n at home birth or water birth? I’m really would love to try it this time around.

A woman in my birth class did an at home birth. She had a midwife present, no doctor because I don't believe they are allowed. At the class reunion she said it went very well. For some reason I think I remember the midwife group was near Princeton, but I don't remember the name of the group or even the woman's name.

@ericarae, my ma did an at home birth with my brother and had a nature path nurse. I’d recommend having a doula and a midwife unless you do already. ☺️ good luck mama. I think that’s a wonderful and powerful way to go.

So in all it probably took 25 minutes to get to the hospital.

@ericarae I live about 15 minutes from the hospital. And we stopped to drop my daughter off at my sisters.

@mississippi.queen, wow that’s awesome. How far do you live from the hospital? My drive is about 15mins? If I can’t get the full experience of actually pushing my baby out in the water I will go this route.

Wow your March too 🤗 I’m March 26th BUT none of my other children came on their due dates 🤷🏻‍♀️ sooo we will see. They say each birth should get easy each time around but for my last pregnancy is the only one that I went without epidural so I have to idea what this labor will have in store for me 🤔 all births were natural as well and I really hope to have this one natural as well as give it a go at home without the bossy nurses with their know it all selves

@ericarae I labored at home with my son. I actually got in the tub when contractions were 10 minutes apart. I was in for maybe 20 minutes and contractions got to 3-4 minutes apart. Some came sooner than that. We got to the hospital, I was 9cm and he was right there. I pushed 1 full time and then a very gentle second push. He was here.

@e_elliana408, I’m due March 1st...When is your due date? My first son was a natural birth he came so quick! I’m hoping this labor is the same. I’m actually researching water births now and seeing if my insurance covers it and hopefully my doctor/hospital does it.

I would love to try home birth but I say this without contraction pain, so when March comes I’ll see if I can keep that goal 😬
