Ended up taking my little to the ER last night because she cried inconsolably for hours. She has hand foot and mouth. The blisters are in the back of her mouth/throat so far. She’s doing okay this morning and hasn’t fussed any even though she’s not had Tylenol or ibuprofen or the “magic mouth wash” they sent home with us. I’ve never dealt with HFM so I’m pretty much clueless. Any tips or suggestions on how to handle it or what to expect or anything really as I feel like I know nothing other than what my little paper from the hospital says 😩

Keep everything clean that she touches and put in her mouth

It's very contagious! Wash hands frequently and sanitize. Cold drinks and popsicles if she doesn't want to eat.

Honestly it’s just hell. Super contagious so you’ll want to sanitize everything. My kids didn’t want to eat anything other than cold foods and even that was a struggle. Plenty of fluids. It’s gonna get worse before it gets better. Make sure to moisturize once the rash goes away so she doesn’t scar.

@momof3cuties, @scream.queen, @_sheriee, thank you ladies! I’m going to stock up some Lysol now 😂 as of right now she acts perfectly fine so hopefully it doesn’t get too awful.

@caseyann19, also you can use hydrocortisone cream or calamine lotion if it's all over her body.
