Moms who had an epidural: Did you ever feel an intense urge to push? I never had the urge and was asked to begin pushing anyways. Dr.— said as long as I’m fully dilated then I can push.
Hell yes I did with my second I could not "wait" to push the Dr was in a c section and the nurse told me to wait I literally said "I'm not fucking waiting it's time for her to come out so someone better get down there and grab my child" 😂
With both of mine I felt the need to push, with my first it felt like I needed to push and with my second i felt him drop into the canal and just knew it time.
Every ones diff. Some of my births i felt the need to push, others i didnt. I think 2 out of 4 babies i felt the need to push. Other wise my doc always told me when it was time. I didnt always feel my contractions when i gave birth, so it was hard to know.
I did for both of my epis and i also had effecient pushes .
I think that when you pay attention to your contractions and see ones starting gear up tilt your pelvis down take a deep breath hold your knees and push down while slowly exhaling (think swimming ) it works.
Maybe im wrong cause ive never had any classes but this is what works for me

I did not but once the nurse told me I was fully dilated I paid attention to my body and could feel when I was having a contraction. It didn’t hurt at all but I was aware of the sensation and that’s when I would push.
