When is the appropriate time to put you LO on a bedtime schedule? As in sleeping in her own bed and her putting herself to bed.
The doctor told me now was the time to start. She needs to get used to the routine and this is how the doctor told me to do it. That she is just gonna have to cry it out. I’ll go up there every 15 minutes, put her back in bed, and give her a kiss. Then I shut the door and walk out. The doctor said it’s more of a habit that I need to get her in and I just wanna hear how you other mommas did it.

I had a crib in my room and always tried putting her down by 11pm. (We stay up late in my household). We just moved my 1 and a half year old to her own room up stairs and shes done good every night when i put her up there. I wait til shes tired. Give her a bottle put moana on and shes out before the movie is over with no crying. Maybe wait til shes really tired and do your regular night time routine. And never show that youre stressing or she'll start acting out. Trust me, after 4 kids they all like to freak out with you 🙄
@bitchcraft, I have two now! I have an 18 month old and a week old! The question is for my 18 month old. We normally sleep with her. I tried the CIO thing for a little but ended up going up stairs and laying in her bed with her till she fell asleep. 😭

Honestly, I still rock my daughter to sleep and then lay her in her toddler bed, I know that alot of people frown upon it but it works for us so it's what I do. She usually sleep through the night and wakes up with no problem
One day I just said “wanna go in your crib?” Cause he wasn’t falling asleep and seemed like he was trying to spread out in my arms. And he said “yeah” so I put him in there and he rolled over and went to sleep lol. I was amazed. But it was all on his own. I only have him tho so rocking him to sleep every night wasn’t a big deal for us
My son just started putting himself to sleep in the last 2 months or so. I used to rock him to sleep every night.
No you don’t have to do cry it out. We usually do bath time, then story time, then I let her turn off the light (smart light so it’s on my phone- she loves this), we turn her fishy light on that plays lullabies, then I nurse her to sleep. When she goes to sleep I leave the room. Sometimes she wants to nurse longer than I can, in which case I say “all done nurse” and lay with her till she falls asleep- she doesn’t like that but does fall asleep. We put her to bed with a sipper cup of water and when she wakes up she takes a big drink and falls back asleep on her own. Sometimes around 4/5am she comes in our bed, but I consider that a successful night. If she is really tired it only takes like 5 minutes! And she can fall asleep with dad too, if just takes longer because he doesn’t have the milk ;).
My kids all did it on their own time when they were ready. We followed their lead. I do not believe in CIO.
I love how I repeatedly told my father in law not to let my daughter root through the toy box because she doesn’t want anything out of it anyway and he keeps picking her up and taking her to the toy box no matter how many times I tell her no and tell him she doesn’t even want anything out of there anyway. At first I told him “only let her get one toy” so she picks one up and he is still holding her over the toy box then tries to put her over the baby gate so she can grab more. I’m sorry but you ...

Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know

I feel like a bad mom ugh.. My Leah is crying cause she is in her bed. And the doctor told me to let her cry but check on her every five minutes. I don't like this cry it out method at all.. Ladies ugh I feel horrible
