Doctor says I have the NST test every week to make sure she’s kicking & her heart is beating like…

Is that how they worded it...wow? What's going on

@angelfoodcake, yes & because she’s small . I had a growth ultrasound at 30 weeks she was 2 pounds 14 ounces , I had another growth scan Tuesday at 32 weeks & shes 3 pounds & 14 ounces. So today I seen the doctor after my NST & she told me Ill be getting induced at 38 weeks because she’s small , I keep telling them that I was only 4 pounds when I was born

Did they say she was IUGR? My daughter was I had to do NST testing for a month every week then got induced at 37 weeks bc she wasn’t growing anymore and my blood pressure started to sky rocket

@tyancyy17, yes she is IUGR . I been doing the NST for 2 weeks now every week & Doppler scans. Did she come out fine ?

@tianadavis216 my baby was 3lbs 9 oz at 30+6... So that's not too far off ya know... I think you will be fine, some babies are just smaller. What did they when you told them how small you were at birth? Not saying they shouldn't take precautions, but stay positive and see the odd of normal /positive possibilities as well.

@tianadavis216, yes mam. Her belly was just measuring behind. She weighed 5 lbs and 11 oz when she was born. Only complication was her jaundice levels went up and she had to stay an extra night.

I done the same thing with my daughter and will be doing it again with our 2 girl. I don't know why they tell you that! She will be fine!!

@soon-2b-mother-of-3, yes I pray everyday I talk to her everyday . They really scare me & stress me out & I continue to push it in the back of my mind & not stress my baby out

Just because she’s small doesn’t mean she could die !! They shouldn’t tell you shit like that I was born 4 pounds and was fine my son was born at 39 weeks weighing 5 pounds and he was fine he had a little jaundice but he spent a few hrs in the incubator under the blue light and was fine he went home when I went home with zero complications . Not all babies can be 7/8 pounds !!

@prestonjeanetta0120, it just annoys & stresses me out. Like she told me that’s why I have the NST every week to make sure her heart is beating good & she’s moving like she’s suppose to because she could die inside me. I keep telling them I was only a 4 pound baby I had to stay in NICU for a couple days , my baby is perfectly fine , she kicks moves , jumps , 24/7 . Don’t tell me shit like she could die & something about the Placenta. It’s just a headache honestly

@tianadavis216, I would have went somewhere else or got a new doctor in the same place because that’s not what they need to tell you . NST test is just to make sure babies heart rate is normal and that they are moving enough to rule out stress not to make sure they don’t die smh . They’re putting all that fear into you for nothing if you passed all test besides weight for her 9/10 she’s just fine she putting on weight slower . Even if she has to come out earlier to put on weight that’s absolutely fine if they feel she can do better on the outside !! But to put that fear in you over weight is nottt cool .

@prestonjeanetta0120, this was my first time seeing this doctor . I normally see my doctor. There both in the same office , it’s just crazy as hell smh

@tianadavis216, well when you reschedule for your next appointment ask them to put you with your doctor !! I see my doctor than I always see 1 other when I can’t see her . But the one who isn’t my doctor was my doctor during my 1st pregnancy so I love her . But from here on out I’m requesting to only see my doctor since I’m high risk and I’m having a c-section at 39 weeks , I’d prefer to stick with just my doctor so there’s no confusion on what’s going on and we can always be on the same page
