@catherineoneill.con yeah it's shit however I was talking to my sister and before universal credit came in she was on income support and got 70 a week so 280 a month to live off when she was a single mother plus 20 a week child benefit, don't get how they expect people to live 🤷‍♀️ get just enough to pay the bills

I'm on it and get 450 a month! That is all, after all my bills I have about 20/30 left a month plus my 20 a week child benefit 😂🤦‍♀️ my rent is paid through housing benefit if I didn't get that I'd be homeless.

@laurabump27, total shite for me ! But then again they cap it after two children so that’s probably why. If you work 16-20 hours your laughing though ! Xx

@laurabump27 it's better for working people usually, not all the time but we seem to have got super lucky. We took a big risk moving as our rent is 225 a month more than what we were paying and we weren't 100% sure if universal credit was going to be better for us or not as we had only used to online calculators before we moved, luckily the calculaters seemed pretty accurate for us x

@laurabump27 huh? I don't know why it's so much more, our rent is abit more now as we moved but before we were never eligible for housing benefit anyway, now we get the housing element. 🤷‍♀️ X
